It occurred to me that each of these beautiful shots could help establish the look-and-feel of a sci-fi “planet”:

Those are great inspiration for planetary landscapes. I've always liked the conceit in Star Wars that a planet has just one ecology that covers the whole surface, rather than a variety of climates and habitats.
