I know that midichlorians have fallen from the face of Star Wars (and I couldn't be happier about that). They were mentioned in The Phantom Menace then--purposefully, I think--forgotten. And, good riddance, I say. I hated when Lucas revealed that the Force wasn't this mystical energy source that wasn't completely understood, as Obi-wan told us in ANH, but was really just a particle that science could measure in a person's blood.
But, I was turned onto an article today about Neutrinos today that made me think of midicholorians. In THIS ARTICLE, it is the part where it says in the article that, of the trillions of neutrinos that go through our bodies on a daily basis, some of those particles are from deep space.
