How do you like to track damage just as is from 1E or do you use 2E's 2 wound rule before incapacitation.

I like 1 wound for now. 1E characters are harder to hit.

It's just the 1E core-rules, right? 1 wound, then incapacitated. No wounded twice like in 2E.
Because of distance difficulties and dodge rules, I gather that 1E are harder to hit by a blaster than 2E, right? I mean, I learned this by your posts.

I've never looked at it like that, I don't think. The difficulties are the same, unless the 2E GM makes the roll easier by asking for a 7+ instead of a 10+ on a throw. The dodges in 1E are always Full Dodges, so that does make the character harder to hit if he dodges--where a 2E character might Dodge or Full Dodge.

I'm still on the fence. Last time I ran a SW game years ago it was R&E so I had the two wounds. I've yet to run a 1E game but I plan to I usually try and run by the book when I run new systems. Even though 1E isn't really new it does have differences from R&E.

Running a new game BTB is usually the best policy, in my opinion, at least until you play some sessions and get a good feel for the game as written. I don't think that adding a "Wounded Twice" category would change 1E all that much, except to let wounded characters have a breath of relief know that the next time they get wounded, it won't be incapacitated most likely. I haven't put a lot of thought into that. Maybe there are unintended consequences. I know this, though: It's always easier to give players something rather than take something away. You can't give them a "Wounded Twice" category then remove it and say that you were wrong about that. That's bad GM form If I were contemplating the change, I'd play it by the book and only add it later if I was damn sure it was a change that would benefit my game.
