I think it would be a good idea to have dedicated forum sections for comics and videogames. Or at least somehow add them to the title of existing sections.
I'd also like to have a section for reviews, analyses, and interpretations of the various 80s and 90s Star Wars works.

I’ll add them to the description of this forum for now, but I’ll consider adding forums for them. Are you a big fan of those things? I'd also like to have a section for reviews, analyses, and interpretations of the various 80s and 90s Star Wars works. Rather than post those in the relevant sections? Would this be to encourage serious, thoughtful, archival posts?

Here's my "new section" philosophy from a decade of running the OD&D Discussion boards: start with a simple structure, and if there are a bunch of similar threads then scoop 'em up and make a section on them.
In other words, Yora might suggest a comics section (for example) but I'd hold off until there are several comic threads. If years pass and we only get one thread on the comics there wouldn't be much point in having a section on it.
So I'd say that folks should just start up threads about things they want to talk about, then those threads can be sorted out as time passes.

I agree 100%! I totally admire the way you run boards, Finarvyn, and have always tried to imitate that “rolling with the punches” approach.
On the other hand, at this early stage, someone visiting the board might get the impression that, while comic book and video game discussion is permitted, the board is really for novel and RPG fans.
But on the other other hand, the structure is so simple and the thread count so low that if there were threads on those topics they would really not be very hard to find!
I view all of you who have joined and participated so far as the “Founders Circle” so I really do welcome your opinions. But, I do welcome threads even more!

That's three hands, but who's counting. We've got to get WaterBob at work. He's a thread machine! I may also go back to the SW section at OD&D Discussion for some ideas. No reason why we can't retread some of the same material, as long as we start each thread with a link to DF or ODD74 or wherever so that a viewer can follow that flow as well.

I'd also like to have a section for reviews, analyses, and interpretations of the various 80s and 90s Star Wars works. Rather than post those in the relevant sections? Would this be to encourage serious, thoughtful, archival posts? I am personally also interested in the history of the creation of Star Wars. Just last month I had started a thread in another forum asking for other fans to help me finding out when the second time was that a character with the name Darth was created. (It turned out to only have been with Darth Maul in Episode 1, which came as a surprise.) Or I'd be interested in discussions about how pre-prequel Star Wars was distinctively different from what is now contemporary Star Wars. Meta-topics, basically. Things like that would of course fall under "anything else". I think it's just my own intuitive preference to have a forum organized with a higher degree of differentiation. Makes a forum look more important (and bigger) at first appearance, in my own perception. Though I guess unless the number of threads explodes too much, having it organized like it is now would also be completely practical in every way. In other words, Yora might suggest a comics section (for example) but I'd hold off until there are several comic threads. If years pass and we only get one thread on the comics there wouldn't be much point in having a section on it. Splitting up forums later is certainly an option. But my own intuition would be not to start threats about comics unless there is a section whose description mentions that it's the place for threads about comics. I feel that having it in the title of section is a stronger invitation to start discussions about such topics, while having it in "anything else" appears like it's allowed, but not really intended by the focus of the forum. But I fully admit that this is (perhaps arbitrary) fully personal perception.

I'm with finarvyn on this, but maybe the "anything else" bit should be at the top of the forum to encourage people to post if they can't find an appropriate named section. Peripherally, I feel that comics fit better with the books than in the general section.

Yes, I think looser is better to start with, and also that comics and novels are a better match than comics and video games & off-topic discussions.
Other than that I think the four boards are good. I can see a case for a fifth—Toys & Games, covering board games, video games, toys, etc.—but those can probably fit in Anything Else until it's proven that people actually want to talk about that stuff enough to warrant its own sub board.
